Aberlour 16 years old joined the company's core range in 2010. The distillates come from sherry casks (largely first fill) and bourbon casks and were blended immediately before bottling.
The extended maturation has made the whisky's palette both delicate and beautifully balanced, making the tasting an unforgettable experience. This whisky is bottled at 40% and 43%. In 2012, Aberlour 16 won a gold medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition. The brand's current sales are 3.6 million bottles per year, which places it in eighth place among the most popular single malts.
