Product description
Single malt Smokehead debuted in 2006 in the Ian Macleod Distillers range and caught the attention of consumers with its unusual presentation.
Ian Macleod is the owner of the Glengoyne, Tamdhu and Rosebank distilleries, as well as several so-called ‘whisky brands’. The company does not disclose which Islay distillery is behind the Smokehead brand, many ‘insiders’ believe it is Ardbeg. Smokehed Rum Rebel debuted in the summer of 2020 to mark International Rum Day, a smoky and peated single malt from an undisclosed Islay producer aged in refill casks and finished in Caribbean rum barrels. Three years later, a limited edition Rum Rebel XLE was released, bottled at 58% abv.
