Product description
Knockdhu Distillery, producer of anCnoc single malt, is not exactly the distillery you would look for in a whisky with a strong smoke and peat profile.
However, in 2003, the plant began limited production from malt with varying levels of phenols, which in 2014 resulted in the AnCnoc Peaty Collection. Initially consisting of four whiskies – Rutter, Cutter, Flaughter and Tushkar – Peatheart joined the series in 2017 and earned very favorable reviews. The second edition of Peatheart hit the market in 2020, we had to wait another three years for the next one. The whisky was distilled from malt with a phenol concentration of 34 ppm, aged exclusively in bourbon barrels and bottled with a natural color and without cold filtration. The edition consisted of 9,100 bottles.
