Product description
Single malt Bunnahabhain is still overshadowed by island powerhouses such as Laphroaig, Ardbeg and Bowmore, although its sales are steadily growing.
The distillery belongs to Burn Stewart Distillers, which in turn has been part of the South African Distell group since 2013. Equipped with two pairs of stills, Bunnahabhain produces around 2.7 million liters of distillate annually, a large part of which goes to the Black Bottle blend. The Bunnahabhain presented here, after 12 years of maturation in American oak barrels, was finished for another four years in dry Manzanilla sherry barrels. The whisky was bottled at cask strength (53.2% abv) and without chill filtration in 2008 in an edition of 3,792 bottles.
