Product description
The huge success of the Arran single malt encouraged the owners not only to double the production capacity of the distillery, but also to build a new one.
Lagg Distillery began production in March 2019, and the original distillery changed its name to Lochranza. Arran single malt debuted in 1998 and established a strong market position over the next decade, while the Isle of Arran became a "mecca" of whisky, visited by over 100,000 whisky lovers each year. The limited edition Rare Batch from 2022 (4,200 bottles) presented here is quite unique. The whisky spent the full 17 years of maturation in Calvados casks from a producer in Pont-l'Eveque and was bottled at cask strength (52.5% abv) and without chill filtration. Annual sales of Arran single malt exceed 600,000 bottles.
