Product description
The champagne house was founded in 1811, a year after the wedding of Pierre-Nicolas Perrier and Rose-Adélaïde Jouët. He was a master winemaker and botanist, she was a young woman from a Norman merchant family. They shared a love of nature and art, which is why they wanted to create a champagne house different from the rest. The passion for the fields that united the two also guided their son Charles when he took over the house in 1848. This is expressed in Art Noveau, inspired by the rich, graceful and winding forms of nature - the anemone motif, created for the house in 1902 by Emile Gallé, accompanies the products of this champagne house to this day.
The company has developed over the years, always remaining true to tradition. One of the most important events was the discovery in the house's cellars of four hand-painted magnum bottles with the aforementioned floral motifs. This gave rise to the wonderful line of Belle Epoque Cuvée champagne.
Perrier-Jouet Blason Rose Champagne
Very bold and richly complex champagne. The aforementioned richness does not deprive it of any softness and elasticity. On the nose it presents a wide bouquet of aromas such as: pomegranate, apricot and red, ripe fruits. There are also accents of sponge cake, toast and brioche. On the palate it is light and expressive, full of fine, slightly creamy effervescence. The emerging notes of citrus fruit work well with accents of strawberry and blood orange. The finish is long and dry, with a lasting fruity accent.
It tastes best chilled to a temperature of 9-11 degrees. Champagne created with gastronomy in mind, very rich in flavors and structure, will be suitable for a wide range of dishes. Fish, especially those with more fat, poultry, and some say even grilled beef - the possibilities of combinations are very numerous. The capacity of the bottle is 1.5 l (Magnum) - champagne ages best in them.
