Moststowie 1975 (Bottled 1994) Connoisseurs Choice/ 40%/ 0.7l
- Mosstowie malt was produced at Miltonduff Distillery between 1964 and 1981.
Product description
Mosstowie whisky was produced between 1964 and 1981 at the Miltonduff Distillery. It was distilled in a Lomond still, a cross between a traditional alembic and a column still.
Its lower part is no different in shape from a traditional alembic, while the neck contains three movable rectification plates, the position of which determines the length of contact of the vapours with the copper. All of the Mosstowie distillate was used to produce blends, mainly Ballantine's, and 30 years after the Lomond stills were removed from Miltonduff, there are no Mosstowie stocks left. The Mostowie presented here, distilled in 1975, was aged for almost two decades and bottled in 1994 by Gordon & MacPhail in the popular Connoisseurs Choice series.
