Product description
Auchentoshan Distillery, based on the outskirts of Glasgow, is owned by Morrison Bowmore Distillers.
Today, it is the only Scottish distillery where every drop of distillate is the result of three-stage distillation, and its so-called middle cut is very narrow - the collection of spirit begins at 82% alcohol and ends at 80%. In recent years, Auchentoshan sales have been very dynamic, with over 1.8 million bottles sold in 2020. In our opinion, the Auchentoshan 12 year old presented here comes from the 1980s, and was distilled in the 1960s or 1970s, when the distillery belonged to Eadie Cairns Ltd. (Morrison Bowmore has owned it since 1984).
