Bowmore 12 years old has been part of the distillery core range forever.

The late, great whisky writer Michael Jackson proclaimed it “remarkably long and complex” and his statement is beyond contradiction. The distillery describes it as “the raw essence of Bowmore – thrashing waves, windswept landscapes and generations of tradition (…) vanilla ice cream at a beach bonfire”. We certainly agree with all of the above.

Nose: lovely combination of peat smoke, sea breeze, vanilla, honey and lemon.

Palate: heather honey, vanilla and tropical fruits (pineapple, cantaloupe) wrapped with the peat smoke.

Finish: fairly long, smoky with fruity and grassy notes.
