Product description
The history of Deau Cognac begins in 1685, when Louis Deau settled in Charente and began cultivating vines, and soon discovered the art and magic of distillation.
For several generations, his daughter-in-law's family (Legaret) has managed the vineyard and distillery (the latter has 12 stills) and currently has a stock of over 2,000 barrels of eaux-de-vie in its cellars. Deau Black is a blend of cognacs from the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne regions, aged initially in fresh barrels, then refilled, for no less than seven years. Its name, "Black", refers to the colour of the glass used by professional tasters during blind tastings. Deau Black is a multi-award-winning cognac, most recently winning a silver medal at the 2020 International Wine & Spirits Competition.
