Product description
The story of Warner's Distillery is one of the greatest successes on the British craft distillery scene.
It was founded in 2012 by Tom Warner and Sion Edwards as Warner Edwards Distillery (Edwards withdrew in 2016 and the distillery soon changed its name to Warner's). Their first product (December 2012) was Warner Edwards Harrington Dry Gin, which was very well received by the market. However, the real success was Rhubarb Gin released in 2014. In the year of its debut, only 8 thousand bottles were produced, the current production exceeds 250 thousand bottles and demand still exceeds supply (the company processes over 400 tons of rhubarb per year). Its base is its own Harrington Dry Gin, to which rhubarb extract is added (heated rhubarb is subjected to traditional pressing) and a small amount of sugar. In 2018, Warner's Rhubarb Gin won a bronze medal at the World Spirit Competition in San Francisco.
"Fresh rhubarb makes a massive attack on our nostrils accompanied by black pepper. On the palate, rhubarb again, this time accompanied by cardamom and sweet oranges; it also dominates the long finish assisted by a pinch of cinnamon." Warner's Rhubarb Gin is best served with Fever Tree Mediterranean tonic and a slice of blood orange.
