Product description
Thomas Hine came to Jarnac (Cognac region) in 1791 at the age of 16 with a mission to learn the art of cognac production.
In time, he married the daughter of a local producer and in 1817 changed the name of his father-in-law's family business to Thomas Hine & Co. Today, the company is run by the sixth generation of the Hines. In 1962, Maison Hine received a Royal Warrant from Elizabeth II and remains the sole official supplier of cognac to the British court. Hine Cigar Reserve XO is the creation of Bernard Hine and Nicholas Freeman, the recently deceased chairman of Hunter & Frankau Ltd., a key British importer of Cuban cigars. This cognac is a blend of 20 eaux-de-vie from the Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne and Fins Bois growing districts, aged for no less than 10 years.
"Cigar Reserve is an invitation to travel in Gauguin's style, a journey accompanied by noble wood and sweet cinnamon. A cognac with an extraordinary character, aromas of a life adventure, a color that heralds a cascade of flavors - pepper, tobacco, walnuts, honey and delicately toasted oak. A drink full of discretion, yet exploding on the palate, the perfect companion for relaxation with a high-class cigar."
