Product description
Fèis Ìle (Islay Festival of Whisky and Music) is an annual event organised by the islanders since 1986. It promotes Islay, its culture and historical heritage.
Each of the local distilleries takes an active part in the event, usually honoring guests with the opportunity to buy a special, limited edition of whisky. In 2014, Bunnahabhain Distillery offered the 17-year-old Westering Home. This extraordinary whisky, distilled in November 1996 after a period spent in American oak barrels, was placed in a cognac barrel in October 2007, and finally in a Sauternes barrel in September 2013. The label was designed by Swedish artist Mathilda Holmqvit, and the edition consisted of 301 bottles.
