Product description

Cameronbridge Distillery, built in 1824 by just 21-year-old John Haig, is Scotland's oldest grain distillery.

It is now owned by Diageo and, following its last expansion in 2012, produces around 120 million litres of distillate per year, which means mashing almost 4,000 tonnes of grain per week. Cameronbridge supplies grain distillate to all of the group's major blends, including Johnnie Walker, Bell's, Black & White and VAT 69. Cameron Brig is a local single grain whisky, which has recently become increasingly difficult to find due to the aggressive marketing campaign of Haig's Club, a sister brand produced from Cameronbridge distillates.

Nose : simple and expressive, cereals, vanilla, brown sugar, a trace of maple syrup, nuts and oak chips.

Palate: light, sweet cereals, vanilla, honey, cotton candy, cooked apples and a delicate bitterness of oak.

Finish : not too long, sweet, with notes of vanilla, caramel and oak.
