Marcati Amaro is a classic Italian herb liqueur based on the 19th Century family recipe. It is flavored with several herbs including angelica, licorice, cardamom, thyme, sage, lemon peel and elderflower; they are macerated and then mixed with sugar syrup and cut to the bottling proof. The liqueur has bitter-sweet taste and is traditionally served as digestive either neat or with ice, a wedge of lemon and sometimes with tonic.
