Rum Santos Dumont XO Elixir (Brazil) / 40% / 0.7l

Santos Dumont spirits were named in memory of the famous celebrity, style icon and aviation pioneer Alberto Santos Dumont, who was famous at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.

It is his portrait that adorns the labels of all Santos Dumont brand products. The Danish company AH Riise, a producer of rum, but also other alcohols, including cocktail seasonings, the so-called bitters, is behind the project.

Santos Dumont XO Elixir is a blend of rum and Brazilian cachaça. The rums used to blend Santos Dupont are molasses-based spirits produced in the West Indies and Central America. Cachaça, made from fresh sugar cane juice, comes from Brazil. After blending, the spirit is further matured in oak barrels that previously held Pedro Ximenez sherry.

Aroma : Fruits, bananas, peaches, raisins, honey, wine accents, spices.

Taste : Sweet and mild, notes of honey, caramel, grapes, dried figs.

Finish : Long, with accents of oak, nuts and dried fruit.
