Bruichladdich 1986 (Bottled 1996), Scott's Selection / 57.2% / 0.7l
- Bruichladdich Distillery could hardly call the 20th Century a success. It produced whisky, which did not draw attention of blending companies’ thus experienced long periods of closure.
Product description
Bruichladdich is one of the most recognisable single malts today, although in the last century it did not experience nearly as much popularity as it does today.
The whisky presented here comes from the times when the plant belonged to the Invergordon Distillers company and used a small part of its production capacity. Scott's Selection is a renowned line of single malt whiskies belonging to the Speyside Distillery Company, the last edition of which hit the market in 2014. Robert Scott, the local master distiller, was responsible for the selection of distillates. The whisky was always offered in cask strength and without chill filtration. Bruichladdich 1986 comes from hogshead casks and was bottled at 57.2% alcohol in 1996.
