Product description
The Stillman's Dram is a series of limited edition single malts from the Whyte & Mackay portfolio, withdrawn from the market at the beginning of the new millennium.
It consisted of whiskies from distilleries belonging to the company at the end of the 20th century: Dalmore, Jura, Fettercairn, Tamnavulin, Tullibardine and Bruichladdich. Each edition was based on carefully selected casks, the pride of the master distiller. The Dalmore 1980 presented here was composed mainly of distillates aged in sherry casks for almost a quarter of a century and bottled at 45% alcohol. It was one of the last entries in this prestigious series.
Nose: rich, festive fruitcake, toffee, caramel, honey, marzipan, orange liqueur, roasted chestnuts, raisins, hints of hay, tobacco and sherry-soaked oak.
Taste: well balanced, dried plums and apricots, oranges, raisins, honey, milk chocolate, caramel, hazelnuts, notes of cinnamon and oak.
Finish: long, with notes of dried fruit, candied orange peel, honey, dry herbs, light oak and leather notes.
