Product description
Reisetbauer Distillery is located near Linz in northern Austria. It was built in 1994 by Hans Reisetbauer and initially distilled brandy and schnapps.
He began his whisky adventure a year later. Reisetbauer grows his own barley, and the distillates are aged in Trockenbeerenauslese and Chardonnay barrels from Austrian vineyards. (Trockenbeerenauslese is an expensive dessert wine produced, like Tokaji, from grapes infected with noble rot.) Reisetbauer distills about 20,000 liters of spirit annually for whisky production.
