Product description
Oregon, commonly known as the "Beaver State," is the tenth largest state in the United States by area.
It is also one of the most geographically diverse states, with mountains, volcanoes and deserts, as well as forests, farms and beaches. Before European explorers and settlers arrived, the territory was inhabited by several Native American tribes. The first autonomous government was established in 1843, and five years later it proclaimed the so-called Oregon Territory. On February 14, 1859, Oregon was recognized as the 33rd state of the United States. In 2009, Oregon celebrated its 150th anniversary of joining the Union, and on this occasion Jack Daniel's Distillery offered a special, limited edition of whiskey. It consisted of only a few thousand cases and was available only in Oregon, making it extremely difficult to obtain for collectors living outside the state (not to mention those living outside the country).
