Product description
Dreyberg Gin is the creation of Andreas Vallendar and the alcoholic beverage distributor Capulet & Montague.
The gin is produced at the 270-year-old Vallendar family-owned Avadis distillery in Wincheringen, near the French and Luxembourg borders. The Dreyberg brand includes two gins, London Dry and the Red Berry presented here. We don’t know the full formula for either, but in the case of Dreyberg Red Berry, alongside classic botanicals such as juniper berries, coriander, angelica and orris root, we do know that in the case of Dreyberg Red Berry, alongside classic botanicals such as juniper berries, coriander, angelica and orris root, there is cubeb pepper, ginger, lemon peel, lavender, mint, hops, raspberries and pomegranates. Andreas distills the spirit himself from locally grown rye, wheat and buckwheat, then macerates the aforementioned botanicals. Dreyberg Red Berry gin is produced in small batches and bottled at 40% abv.
Dreyberg Red Berry Gin combines slightly tart notes of red berries (currants and pomegranate) with classic notes of juniper, pine needles, spices and a touch of citrus. It is a great summer drink served with just an ice cube or Mediterranean tonic, a few raspberries and a mint leaf.
