Royal Salute - The House of Quinn

Royal Salute - The House of Quinn

For understandable reasons for all lovers of good dram, we rarely mention here blended whiskies of the ultra premium segment. We, too, mostly like to pour ourselves a glass of something delicious rather than look at the fancily decorated bottles and set them in an elegant display case. However, from time to time, something happens in the world of collectible luxury liquor that we would not want to leave out of such complete silence.

One such event is undoubtedly the launch of a new edition of blended whisky Royal Salute from the series Couture Collection, prepared in collaboration with Richard Quinn, one of London's top fashion designers. His vibrant, expressive fabric designs are meant to be reflected in the character of the whisky contained in one of the two hundred decanters. Richly decorated, in the shape to which the Royal Salute brand has already accustomed us, they are offered in no less ornate wooden boxes, lined with velvet. The decanters were prepared by the experts at Dartington Crystal and are decorated with flower and thorn motifs, designed by Richard Quinn himself. The set comes with a silk pillowcase designed by Master.

The contents of the decanters are the work of the Chivas Brothers brand's master buyer, Sandy Hyslop. Royal Salute - The House of Quinn 21yo Couture Collection was compiled from distillates sourced from distilleries scattered almost all over Scotland, and matured in oak barrels for a minimum of 21 years. In its aroma, the beverage offers vegetal, and floral notes, combined with accents of ripe fruits - mango, banana, apricot jam and fresh orange peel. With time, vanilla toffee and a delicate touch of cinnamon appear on the nose. On the taste we can expect rich accents of floral honey, dark chocolate and hazelnuts. Notes of spice, oak and barely a suggestion of smoke will lurk in the background, and the whole will be tied together by notes of peaches in syrup and cream.

Premiere Royal Salute - The House of Quinn is also offered in the form of NFT. The number one decanter was prepared for purchase through BlockBar, the world leader in NFT technology, which is also gaining popularity in the world of luxury aged spirits.

Royal Salute - The House of Quinn this is the second edition resulting from a collaboration between Sandy Hyslop of Chivas Brothers and Richard Quinn's Couture Collection series. The previous, also a 21-year-old blended whisky, was prepared last year and compiled from 31 different distillates, one for each year of the London-based designer's life, which celebrated 31 at the time. birthday. The vibrant, bold patterns adorning the decanters and boxes also appeared on the closet pieces designed in Richard Quinn's studio.

At the time of preparation of this material, the House of Whisky Online offered quite a bit of impressive collection of decanters by Royal Salute brand, including the first edition in the Couture Collection series, Royal Salute 21yo Richard Quinn Edition. We invite you to visit and browse among our shelves. There you can always find something interesting.
