Bottle No. 447 / 500
Glenfiddich is Scotland's largest malt distillery, capable of producing 14 million litres of alcohol per year.
Its commercial offer includes several whiskies, including the unique 40-year-old, emphasizing the company's presence in every price segment of the whisky category. The 40-year-old, born from the contents of several unique barrels, debuted in 2000. The oldest barrel used in this edition came from 1925. Each subsequent edition contains a small amount of the previous one, so they all have a specific reference to the original. The 2007 edition is described by the producer as "rich and sweet, with a hint of peat and spice". Only 500 bottles were released. Glenfiddich 40 years old has won several prestigious awards and distinctions. In 2003, Whisky Magazine awarded it the title of Best of the Best, 2008 and 2010 brought gold medals at the International Spirit Competition.
