Product description
One of 750 bottles
Extremely rare, limited edition 40 year old Bunnahabhain from August 2012.
The whisky was a find of master distiller Ian MacMillan, who, while looking through old records, came across a trace of several barrels filled 40 years ago and resting in one of the warehouses. Renowned graphic artist Iain McIntosh designed the graphic side of the edition, which was closed in 750 bottles, individually numbered and signed by the artist. Each bottle rests in a wooden, oval box with a double bottom.
Nose : rich aromas, oranges, bananas, mango, passion fruit, vanilla, toffee, hazelnuts, traces of polished leather, oak and sea salt.
Palate : deep and complex, bananas, mango, pineapples, toffee, sweet bread, walnuts, licorice and delicate oak notes.
Finish: long and rich, oranges, nuts, dark chocolate, sweet spices and subtle oak bitterness.
