Product description
Lauder's Sherry Edition Oloroso Cask is the forerunner of MacDuff International's new series, The Art of Blending.
The blend ingredients, after maturing in bourbon barrels, were blended and poured into Oloroso sherry barrels as a finished blend to complete the full integration of the ingredients. Right after its debut in 2014, Lauder's Oloroso Sherry Cask won a silver medal at the International Wine & Spirits Competition. The Lauder's brand is one of the oldest blended Scotch whiskies. Its formula was developed in 1834 by Archibald Lauder, the owner of several bars and conventions in Glasgow. We don't know much about it today, rumor has it that it was created in the Royal Lochnagar warehouse in Glasgow, which could suggest that Lochnagar single malt was its core.
