Glenrothes Minister's Reserve debuted in 2013 as part of the Manse Brae series for Travel Retail .
This series is named after the street where Rothes House is located, the spiritual home of the distillery, whose history is closely linked to the Scottish Church. It consists of three whiskies: Manse, Elders and Ministers. The aforementioned Rothes House, also known as the Manse, was once the residence of the head of the Scottish Church, and the meeting place of its ministers. Glenrothes Minister's Reserve is the oldest representative of the collection, composed of distillates aged mainly in sherry casks for at least 21 years.
Nose: rich, strong sherry tones, honey, raisins, bitter orange jam, nutmeg, hazelnuts, traces of pine resin, cedar and furniture polish.
Taste : complex, dark chocolate, nuts, orange peel, dried plums, raisins, banana cake, nutmeg, traces of tobacco and oak.
Finish : quite long, nuts, oak, dark chocolate and a bit of pepper.
