Smokey Joe is a blended malt whiskey from the Angus Dundee Distillers portfolio.

The company was founded in 1950 by Terry Hillman, previously one of the directors of Burn Stewart, and is currently owned by his children, Tania and Aaron. Originally a "blended whisky company", Angus Dundee joined the single malt whisky producers in the early 21st century by purchasing two distilleries - Tomintoul and Glencadam. The company's products are now available in over 80 countries around the world. Smokey Joe is a blend of single malts from undisclosed distilleries based on the island of Islay. The whisky is bottled at 46% abv without chill filtration, and its additional advantage is a relatively low price for high quality.

Nose: smoky and marine, salty breeze, seaweed, freshly cut grass, salted butter, lemon peel, apples, notes of vanilla and lemongrass.

Palate : peat smoke, malted barley, vanilla, butter cookies, lemon and orange peel, white pepper, a pinch of salt and a trace of iodine.

Finish : medium long, with notes of peat smoke and ash, vanilla, citrus, pepper and salty breeze.
