Cardhu Amber Rock Double Matured / 40% / 0.7l

Amber Rock is one of Cardhu Distillery's latest offerings, included in the core offering in 2014.

The whisky was double-matured, the final phase taking place in barrels made of white American oak with toasted interiors and seasoned with bourbon. "Cardhu" means "black rock" in Gaelic, while "Amber Rock" is "amber rock" and the name fully reflects the color of the whisky presented here.

Nose:  fresh and fruity, apple pie sprinkled with cinnamon, caramel, honey, vanilla and toasted oak.

Taste: sweet and bold, orange peel, brown sugar, honey, sweet cereals, cinnamon, nutmeg and a delicate bitterness of oak.

Finish:  long and sweet, barley malt, honey, citrus and oak.
