Product description
Murray McDavid purchased the defunct Bruichladdich distillery in 2000 and soon turned it into a 21st century icon.
The old commercial offer was abandoned, and each subsequent year welcomed a dozen or so new editions. The Cuvee First Growth Series debuted in 2008 and offered 16-year-old whiskies finished in barrels of the most distinguished wines from the Bordeaux region. The Cuvee E, after a basic maturation period in bourbon barrels, went into Sauternes barrels from the famous Château d'Yquem. This edition was limited to 12,000 bottles.
