Eirigh Na Greine (from the Gaelic for "morning sky") debuted in 20124 in the Travel Retail chain , as the successor to the Darach Ùr edition.
The whisky was matured mainly in bourbon barrels, but a large number of French and Italian red wine barrels were also used. Eirigh Na Greine is a single malt produced in small batches , bottled without chill filtration and with an alcohol content of 46.3%.
Aroma: interesting and complex, dried fruit, roasted chestnuts, milk fudge, marzipan, rosehip jam, citrus, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Taste: mild, slightly malty, sweet spices, cherries, plums, oranges, apricots, cocoa, milk fudge and oak.
Finish: long and spicy, nuts, ginger and delicate fruity tones.
