Malibu Caribbean Rum with Coconut / 18% / 0.7l
Product description
Malibu is one of the world's most popular coconut liqueurs based on Caribbean rum. It is the work of Thomas Edwin Jago, who also has the recipe for Baileys Irish Cream to his credit.
Initially, it was intended to make it easier for bartenders to compose a piña colada cocktail. It quickly became a commercial success, which led to the transfer of production from the island of Curaçao to Barbados, where rum produced by West Indies Rum Distillery Ltd. was used in its production, and the quality of the ingredients used was significantly improved. This took place in the first half of the 1980s. In 2002, the brand was sold to the Allied Domecq concern for the considerable sum of 560 million British pounds, and three years later it became the property of the Pernod Ricard concern. Since then, a whole range of variations based on Malibu liqueur have been created, including those with a fruit flavour, mainly tropical, as well as mint Malibu Fresh, Malibu Red with tequila, and Malibu Black with a higher alcohol content compared to the rest of the offer.
Malibu Caribbean Rum is a drink with an aroma of cane sugar, roots and notes of coconut. In taste creamy coconut, exotic fruits, cane sugar. Perfect as an addition to cocktails, desserts, cakes and a number of other applications.
