Product description
Agwa de Bolivia is a herbal liqueur produced in Amsterdam.
It is made using over 36 different plant ingredients, including green tea, ginseng, mint and guarana, but most importantly coca leaves, imported from Bolivia (hence the Bolivia in the drink's name). The coca is grown in the Andes at an altitude of 2,000 meters above sea level. Before being transported to Europe, cocaine alkaloids are removed from them, and yet the transport to Amsterdam is under police supervision.
Agwa de Bolivia is the only coca leaf liqueur in the world. Dried and then macerated coca leaves undergo steam distillation, resulting in an alcoholic extract with the characteristics of the original plant. It can be served with ice or used as an ingredient in cocktails. It has a bittersweet taste with a light note of musk, accents of dried fruit and pepper.
