Product description
Jack Daniel's "Images of Lynchburg" series debuted in 1998. Initially, it was offered only in Europe in 1-liter bottles.
Almost every year a new edition featuring another "painting" would hit the European Travel Retail chain. Around 2001, "paintings" in 750ml bottles containing 40% ABV whiskey appeared in Canada, and two years later in the native Lynchburg (this time the whiskey had 43% ABV).
The range currently consists of twelve 1-litre bottles/stages; eight 750ml (43% abv) bottles and three 750ml (40% abv) bottles.
Here we present the first edition of The Statue, which presents a marble statue of Jack Daniel erected in 1941 by Lem Motlow. It was located near the famous cave spring hollow, a cave with a spring from which the distillery draws water (which has a constant temperature of 56ºF or 13.3ºC). After almost 60 years, in 2000, the original statue, somewhat damaged by weather conditions, was moved to the main building of the visitor center and replaced with a 600-pound bronze sculpture. For this reason, the European edition from 1998 has a different information on the back of the bottle than the American edition (2003).
