Metaxa owes its wonderful taste to the combination of 3 types of red grapes - Savatiano, Sultanina and Black Corinth, as well as rose petals, which are one of the ingredients of the Greek drink. The next stage is the addition of seasoned Muscat wines from the islands of Samos and Lemnos. The proverbial cherry on the cake is a secret set of herbs (including anise). After a full five years of aging of the distillate mixture prepared in this way, the product receives five stars.
