Clontarf 1014 Classic Blend / 40% / 0.7l
- Clontarf Irish Whiskey was introduced at the turn of the new millennium by the former executives of R&A Bailey, Dave Phelan and Pat Rigley.
Product description
Clontarf whisky made its debut at the beginning of the new millennium from Roaring Water Bay, a company founded by former R&A Bailey directors Dave Phelan and Pat Rigley.
The original ingredients came from the Cooley Distillery and were subjected to the charcoal mellowing process used in the production of Tennessee whiskey. Clontarf is the site of a battle fought in 1014 between the Vikings and the forces of King Brian Boru, who prevented the conquest of Ireland at the cost of his own life. The whiskey was a great success in the USA and in 2004 the rights to it were purchased by Castle Brands. The Clontarf 1014 Classic Blend presented here is a blend of triple-distilled single pot still and single grain whiskey aged in bourbon barrels.
