Johnnie Walker Swing / 40% / 0,75l
Product description
Johnnie Walker has been the best-selling Scotch whisky for as far as we can remember, with annual sales of 19.2 million cases (2021).
The most popular expressions of Johnny Walker are marketed as so-called 'Labels’ – Red, Black, Blue, Gold, and Green – but the entire range features dozens of other expressions. Johnnie Walker Swing was created by sir Alexander Walker in 1932, with passengers of ocean liners in mind. It was a blend of 35 whiskies, with a high percentage of Speyside malts (Highlands and Islay were also represented), part of which matured in ex-sherry casks. The whisky is presented in a unique glass decanter with a bottom, allowing it to swing back and forth on the convex base.
Nose: delicate sherry notes, honeyed cereals, vanilla, orange peel, a dash of ginger, hints of tobacco, hay, potpourri, and a wisp of smoke.
Palate: breakfast cereals, vanilla, caramel, cherries, overdone toast, white pepper, ginger, toasted oak, a drop of sherry, and a touch of peat.
Finish: not too long, with notes of caramel, vanilla, coffee, orange marmalde, white pepper, ginger, and fading hint of smoke.
