Product description

One of the most popular mezcals in Mexico, made from 100% Espadin agave (Agave angustifolia). It is produced in the town of Santiago Matatlan in the Mexican state of Oaxaca. Distilled twice and aged for a minimum of 2 months in American oak barrels. Gusano Rojo means "red worm," and refers to the larva of an insect that feeds on agave embedded in the bottle. 

Aroma: Sweet agave, spices, a hint of smoke.

Taste: Agave, spices, olives, some bitterness.

Finish: Long, bitter, with a slight smoky note.
