Product description
In 1885, a pharmacist and owner of a pharmacy in Angers, Émile Giffard, developed the formula for the Menthe-Pastille liqueur, which conquered Europe within a few years.
The company he founded remains in the family's hands to this day and is managed by his great-great-grandchildren, siblings Bruno and Edith Giffard, and its commercial offer of liqueurs and bartender syrups includes over a hundred items. Among them is a series of fruit creams bottled with a relatively low alcohol content and increased sugar content. The key to the high quality of Giffard's products is over 130 years of family tradition and experience in maceration of fresh fruit and herbs while implementing new techniques most appropriate for a given variety. The company remains in close contact with the most creative bartenders and is constantly working on expanding the offer with new flavors.
The Melon Liqueur presented here is the result of slow maceration of Spanish green melons in neutral alcohol. Its palette is dominated by the sweetness of Galia melons and distinct notes of ripe bananas. Giffard recommends serving it in a cocktail mixed with tequila and lemon juice.
