Product description
In 1885, a pharmacist and owner of a pharmacy in Angers, Émile Giffard, developed the formula for Menthe-Pastille liqueur, which conquered Europe within the next few years.
The company he founded remains in the family hands to this day, managed by his great-great-grandchildren, siblings Bruno and Edith Giffard, and its commercial offer of liqueurs and bartender syrups includes over a hundred items. The key to the high quality of Giffard products is over 130 years of family tradition and experience in maceration of fresh fruit and herbs using new techniques most appropriate for a given variety. Giffard & Cie offers over 100 products, of which a dozen represent the small collection of Giffard Creations.
It includes the Giffard Cognac & Amandes Liqueur presented here, created by maceration of crushed almonds in cognac. In the palette, a beautiful balance of almond and cognac with a delicate note of vanilla, which is a tempting proposition for an after-dinner drink.
