In 1885, a pharmacist and owner of a pharmacy in Angers, Émile Giffard, developed the formula for the Menthe-Pastille liqueur, which immediately won the hearts of local residents.

The company he founded remains in the hands of the family to this day and is managed by his great-great-grandchildren, siblings Bruno and Edith Giffard, and its commercial offer of bartender liqueurs and syrups includes over a hundred items and is available in 60 countries. Several of them make up the Giffard Creations series. The key to the high quality of Giffard's products is over 130 years of family tradition and experience in maceration of fresh fruit and herbs using new techniques most appropriate for a given variety. The company remains in close contact with the bartender elite in search of new flavor variants.

Limon Cello is the “Giffard” version of Limoncello, the most popular Italian liqueur produced in the south of the country. This Giffard Creation is made by macerating lemon peels in neutral alcohol and has a sour-bitter flavor typical of lemon zest. Limon Cello is best served well chilled or with crushed ice.
