The Scenes from Lynchburg is the range of Jack Daniel’s whiskey, one of the most popular among collectors.
It was introduced in 1998 and presented in 1-liter bottles with the initial offering available exclusively in Europe. Almost every year new bottling featuring an additional ‘scene from Lynchburg’ was released and offered for sale at European airports. Around 2001 the distillery started selling 750ml bottles of the same design in Canada (at 40% abv) and finally two years later the first US release was available in Lynchburg (at 43% abv).
The whole range consists now of 12 of 1-litre bottles/scenes, 8 of 750ml bottles (at 43% abv) and 3 of 750ml bottles (at 40% abv).
The seventh scene features The Visitors Center. Jack Daniel’s has been by far the best selling American whiskey with annual sales of 12.5 million cases generating over 3 billion dollars. The Visitors Center was opened in 2000, the year of Jack’s 150th Birthday. The new building is where all distillery tours begin and where many historic artifacts from over the years can be viewed. Each year Jack Daniel’s Distillery welcomes 300,000 visitors.
