Okami 12 YO Pure Malt is a Japanese blended malt whiskey, that is, a blend of malt whiskies whose character is shaped by long aging and a finish in barrels made from prized Japanese oak Mizunara. This wood imparts distinctive notes of spices, cedar, and incense, giving the whiskey an exotic, elegant character.
The aroma features dried fruit, cedar, and a subtle hint of incense, enriched with vanilla, honey, and subtle spices. The flavor is velvety and complex – figs and dark chocolate are complemented by fruity sweetness, vanilla, and a more pronounced hint of oak.
