Metaxa 12 is the result of a unique blend of wine distillates aged in Limousin oak barrels for a minimum of 12 years with select Muscat wines from the islands of Samos and Lemnos, and finally, it is flavored with a secret blend of herbs and rose petals, which gives it its distinctive taste and aroma. The number “12” in the name indicates the minimum aging period for the ingredients.
