The Small Batch Collection is a series of limited-edition single malt whiskies in which carefully selected casks highlight individual aspects of The Glenlivet’s character. These whiskies are bottled at cask strength without chill filtration.
This 20-year-old edition, named Orchard Fruitiness, brings together whiskies matured in first-fill American oak barrels, second-fill ex-Scotch barrels and second-fill American oak hogsheads. The combination showcases juicy orchard fruit, complemented by caramel sweetness and warming spices. Pears, apples and sweet cherries give way to caramelised figs, plums and nectarines, enriched by toffee and cinnamon. Bottled at 56.2% ABV.
Nose: ripe pears, red apples, sweet cherries, treacle sponge, golden syrup, delicate cloves and toasted oak.
Palate: spiced apples, caramelised figs, ripe plums, fresh nectarines, toffee sauce and warming cinnamon.
Finish: intensely fruity, sweet and syrupy.
