Product description
The Teelings are a family with a distilling tradition dating back to 1782, when Walter Teeling opened his own distillery in Dublin.
More than 200 years later, John Teeling purchased an ethanol production facility and converted it into a whiskey distillery. The Cooley Distillery remained family-owned for nearly a quarter-century, and after it was sold to Jim Beam Global, John Teeling and his sons launched the Teeling Whiskey Company as an independent bottler. It's an open secret that Teeling whiskeys—both malt and grain—come from the Cooley Distillery. The Teeling Small Batch presented here is a whiskey composed of 35% malt distillate and 65% grain distillate, aged in ex-bourbon barrels and finished in ex-rum barrels. In 2017, this whiskey won a gold medal at The Irish Whiskey Masters competition.
