Product description
Barone di Valforte is the family estate of Sorricchio di Valforte, located in the heart of Abruzzo, between the Adriatic Sea and the Gran Sasso and Maiella mountain ranges. The family has been farming here since the 14th century; today, the estate covers about.300 hectares, of which 52 hectares are vineyards—gentle, breezy slopes near Piomba (Silvi), 100–150 m above sea level.p.m.This proximity to the sea and the mountains provides sunny days, nights with a crisp breeze, and a natural balance for the ripening of white grape varieties. The winery combines tradition with modernity: it cultivates local grape varieties, operates in the spirit of sustainable agriculture, and supports its operations with solar power..
Villa Chiara is their classic Trebbiano d’Abruzzo: a wine conceived as a pure expression of the terroir, blending the influences of the sea and the mountains. It is made from 100% Trebbiano d’Abruzzo from vineyards around Silvi; its profile is fresh, bright, and juicy, designed to be easy to drink rather than oaky. The 2024 vintage scored 90 points in Falstaff (tasting on June 27, 2025), which is a great testament to its precision and vibrancy; the alcohol content is 12%.

Aroma: the foreground features white peach flesh and green apple, accented by lemon zest; in the background, there is a hint of linden blossom and a touch of a salty breeze.
