Montefalco Sagrantino Passito is an exceptional sweet wine that blends Umbrian tradition with the unique character of the Sagrantino grape variety.It is made from grapes that have been dried for at least two months on special mats (“graticci”), which allows the sugars and aromas to concentrate.In the past, it was the only type of wine made from Sagrantino grapes and was served during religious ceremonies; today, it is a fine example of the passito style, combining power, elegance, and sweetness.
Appearance: an intense ruby color with violet highlights, almost opaque, gradually shifting to shades of garnet over time.
Aroma: expansive and persistent—dominated by notes of blackberries, black cherries, dried fruit, and spices, with a mineral touch.
