Soberano brandy is produced in Jerez by the González Byass bodega.
The company was founded in 1835 by Manuel Maria González Angel, who was soon joined by his British sales agent Robert Blake Byass. The Byass family sold their shares in the company to the González family in 1998, making it the sole owner. González Byass brandies have been produced since 1844 in the heart of Jerez.
