Product description
The Danish company 1423 World Class Spirits was founded in 2008 by a group of Scotch whisky enthusiasts after they were given a sample of excellent quality rum to try at a whisky festival.
At that time, there was a suspicion that, apart from whisky, there was also an incredibly interesting world of rum worthy of in-depth study. It all started with a single barrel of rum from Trinidad, which hit the market in early 2009. The abbreviation SBS stands for "single barrel select", which the Danish bottler has specialised in since then. The number 1423 in the company's name is the number of the first barrel they bottled. 1423 World Class Spirits quickly gained recognition as a distributor of high-quality rare rums, often offered in cask strength, without caramel colouring.
Compañero Extra Añejo rum is a Panamanian rum distilled in rectifying columns and matured in oak barrels for 12 years. In its bouquet and creamy taste, we can find accents of dark chocolate, citrus, some exotic fruit, bananas and cocoa.
