Product description
Planteray Grande Réserve is a tribute to the rich rum culture of Barbados from Stade's West Indies Rum Distillery, founded in 1893 on the pearly white sands of Brighton Beach. The distillery maintains the tradition of rum production in Barbados, thanks to its well-preserved archives and collection of antique stills, some over 100 years old. The island's inhabitants were the forerunners of sugar cane cultivation in the Caribbean. The local drink gained recognition among British sailors from the 17th century, who enjoyed rum and brought it back to England as a souvenir and proof of their stay in such an exotic place.
Planteray Grande Réserve is an exquisite, continentally aged rum that has undergone maturation in the tropical climate of Barbados. It is aged on site in Bourbon barrels (1-3 years), then sets off on a long journey to southwestern France, where in the cellars of Chateau Bonbonnet it matures for a year in Ferrand cognac barrels, taking on the aroma and taste qualities of the noble drink. The beige label shows an engraving showing the distillery building among palm trees. In such natural surroundings, the 5-year-old Plantation Grand Reserve rum from Barbados is created. The multi-award-winning Planteray Grande Réserve is an example of the excellence of rum from Barbados.
